Modifications to Sewer Patrol Point 337: Colorado Avenue
Why is Buffalo Sewer doing this project?
Buffalo Sewer is working to reduce combined sewer overflows (CSOs) impacting surface waters. This project will make changes to existing underground structures to help reduce overflows to Scajaquada Creek (see green arrows on diagram). More combined sewer flow will be directed to the existing Scajaquada Tunnel Interceptor which goes to the Bird Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (see blue arrows on diagram).

What precautions will be taken to contain hazardous material from the American Axle site? |
| Buffalo Sewer has been in communication with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation regarding the remediation efforts at the American Axle site. Any contamination found during construction will be disposed of appropriately. The contractor will minimize the amount of soil that needs to be removed for the temporary access road. |
